Schedulers

Schedulers are tasks planned in advance to make your life easier.
Some of them are simple task, keeping your website running smoothly, like clearing the cache or disconnect the members that are still logged in but not on the website anymore. But they can also do more complicated jobs and poll data by themselves from Accredo to your website, keeping your website up to date, following their own frequency.

Quick links:

  • How to find the scheduler page
  • Edit The Schedulers
  • The Logs
  • The relation between the schedulers and your ERP

The scheduler page

The Scheduler page is available by clicking on HOST on the top menu, then Schedule.

Or by hovering HOST on the top menu then Advanced Settings > Schedule.

On the Schedule Page, you can easily see the following information:

  • Name: the name of the scheduler.
  • Enabled: if the box is ticked, the task is programmed and will be processed (can be modified).
  • Frequency: This is how frequent the scheduler will run (can be modified).
  • Retry Time Lapse: This define how long the module will wait until trying again to poll the data. We advise you to set here a much higher time than the frequency as if an error occurs. It will be better for the system to have more time and try to fix it than overload it with too many requests. For example, if the Frequency is set to 5 minutes, the Retry Time Lapse advised would be 1 Hour.
  • Next Start: When the scheduler will run again by itself.
  • Log: Where you can see the scheduler’s records from the previous runs.

Edit The Schedulers

You can easily activate/deactivate, modify the frequency and retry time lapse by using the pencil at the very beginning of the line.

You will then access the settings for the selected scheduler.

  • Activation/deactivation: Tick this box to activate / deactivate the scheduler.

  • Modifying the frequency/retry time lapse: You can set the time by seconds, minutes, hours or days.

  • Retain Schedule History: Set this parameter to increase or decrease the number of records displayed in the Logs.

  • Catch Up Enabled: Please do not tick this box.

  • Instant run: If needed you can activate manually the scheduler by pressing the “RUN NOW” button.

!! WARNING !! Do not manually run the schedule if the next auto-run is planned in the following 5 minutes.

The Logs

In the Logs you can find details about the previous runs of the schedulers.

  • Description: Here you can see what the scheduler has done but also the error details if the task was unsuccessful.
  • Duration: How long the scheduler needed to run its process from the beginning to the end.
  • Succeeded box: If ticked, the process ran without any issue.
  • Start/End/Next: When was the last time the task began, ended and when it will run again.

Examples of successful and failed runs

To identify if a run was successful or not, please have a look on the examples below. Also, note that the run might still be going. To know if it is done or not, please check the Duration in seconds, reload the frame (right click on the popup window and click on Reload Frame) and compare with the "new" Duration. If the Duration is changing, the run is not over.
